As a Lettings Negotiator at Rush Witt & Wilson, Charlotte plays an important role in helping tenants find the right property and supporting landlords throughout the lettings process.
Calm, approachable and team focused, Charlotte enjoys being part of the close knit group at our St Leonards lettings office.
Outside of work, she enjoys swimming and walking and making the most of the outdoors whenever she can. Her perfect day off is simple and summery, a day at the beach enjoying the sunshine.
When asked what she finds most rewarding about her role, Charlotte highlights being part of a strong team. For her, working together and supporting one another is what makes the job so enjoyable.
One moment that has stayed with her was when a tenant brought in flowers and a card to thank her for helping them find a property. It is these gestures that remind her how much the work can mean to people during what is often a big life change.
Charlotte is also keen to challenge a common misconception about estate agency. There is sometimes a belief that agents intentionally overvalue properties to win instructions. In reality, providing honest advice and realistic pricing is a much better way to ensure a positive result for clients.
If she could try a completely different career for a day, Charlotte would choose to be a zookeeper. Perhaps she feels it wouldn’t be too different from a particularly busy day in estate agency!!
If given the chance to have dinner with a historical figure, she would choose Marilyn Monroe. We imagine she would have some fascinating stories to tell.
Something people may be surprised to learn is that Charlotte is a fully qualified hairdresser. It is a skill that requires patience, creativity and attention to detail, qualities that also serve her well in her current role.
