The property market is on the move again

The property market may have slowed down at the start of the Coronavirus outbreak, but it has started to speed up again.

Understandably the Coronavirus outbreak has had a massive impact on all of our lives. Working with our valued customers throughout East Sussex & Kent, we have been supporting those who were moving house or planning to move when the pandemic erupted.

Although this has been a difficult time for many of our clients, with the right help and support we have been able to guide people through this process and offer help and advice for the future.

Digital tools have allowed us to offer virtual viewings and online face-to-face meetings with our clients so that we can continue our work behind the scenes. Embracing these new technologies is key so that we can present new properties to potential clients in new and exciting ways in the future.

Selling your home

If you are or were planning to sell your home, it is important to remember that people are still looking for a new place to live. As all of us are couped up at the moment, any frustrations with our current dwelling are even more prevalent than before.

We have had lots of enquiries from people who are looking for a new home. They want to get the process started so they are ahead of the rest when we come out the other side of this pandemic.

We have also had property owners contacting us for information about selling their homes. We have started the process of working with them so that we are ready to market these to their full potential as soon as the restrictions are lifted.

Buying a new home

If you were looking for a new home before the pandemic, you can still keep your eyes open for available properties. You can start to build a profile of the type of property you are looking for and the price range that you have in mind. Take the time to have a proper look so you are sure about exactly what you are looking for.

Getting registered with an agent (or agents) is a good idea so that when the restrictions lift, your agent already knows exactly what you want and you will be the first in line to view these properties.

Renting a property

We have had a surge in the number of tenants who are looking for somewhere to live. Despite the pandemic, many tenancies have come to an end and people want to move as soon as the crisis is over. Some people want to downsize due to concerns about their ability to pay the rent.

Again getting registered on the system as either a landlord with a property to rent, or as a tenant who is looking to move is the first step towards a new tenancy. Although viewings cannot happen at this time, we can still make sure we have the details on file so that we can get things moving quickly once the restrictions are lifted.

Get the process started

So whatever your situation is, there are still things that you can do to put yourself in a better position so that you are ahead of the rest when the market starts moving again.
